Challenge #70 - make your own embellishments

Welcome to this week's challenge at Phindy's Place,  this week we are challenging you to make your own embellishments.  So put away those store bought flowers and get creating!  You don't have to use a Phindy image but we certainly hope you will and if you do, follow the instructions on the sidebar and enter your card twice. If you don't have a Phindy image, there are lots over at the Phindy's Place store , so why not pop over and pick up one or two.

You can win two prizes, one winner will be chosen at random from the entries and will win a $5 gift certificate to the Phindy's Place Store and one entry will win Card of the Week with the creator also receiving a $5 gift certificate. New Design Team Members

Good Morning!  I'm so pleased to be able to announce the new Design Team members for Phindy's Place.  I'm sorry for the delay,it has been very hard to make a decision between the very talented applicants.  I would like to thank all those who took the time to apply for a place on the team, please don't be discouraged.  And of course I would like to welcome three very gifted ladies to our team, I can't wait to see the creations from the very talented Sharon Harding, Marlena Peduzzi and Catherine Ward.  Do check out their blogs and make them welcome to the Phindy Team:)

Challenge # 68 - Vintage Look

We have a fabulous challenge for you this week and want you to create a card or other paper-crafted project with a VINTAGE LOOK. Pull out your most vintage images, dig out some vintage looking papers and embellishments and make sure you do lots of inking and distressing.

You don't have to use a Phindy image but if you do you can enter it twice - just follow the directions on the sidebar under the challenge rules. Phindy has lots of images in her store that lend themselves beautifully to a vintage look - lots of scenes and other images, some of which the Design Team has used in their inspiration for you.

We will choose a random winner who will receive a $5 gift certificate to Phindy's store and the Design Team will select one project as Card of the Week. The creator of that project will also receive a $5 gift certificate and will be in the running for a Guest Designer spot.

Today is the first Friday in the month, so that means that it's time for the Phabulous Phindy Phriday when anything goes as long as you use a Phindy's Place image!  There are some great images in the shop, if you are looking for a freebie you will always find a few on the Phindy's Place PCP Group.  The first Friday in the month will be Anything Goes for at least the next three months, so you know you can plan ahead and create a fab card or project to play along.
